There’s something about the way that summer makes you feel. Everyone is glowing, even if it’s because you’re commuting on the sweaty train, or running after the kids. But everyone is that little bit happier. The Strawberry & Pomegranate Seeds are just a couple of summer’s natural seasonal delights…
Pomegranate seeds… I’ve never really known what to do with these teeny tiny little fruits or seeds, or whatever the heck they are. I bought them for the first time to mix in with Strawberries, admittedly because of the colour. They looked really cute in pictures and Michelle used them in her FAB Roast Chicken post. Well, obviously I taste before I chuck ingredients into my Nutribullet and I was pleasantly surprised. I think I was expecting some kind of tangy sour tasting nothingness that needed to be blended into oblivion just to reap the nutritional benefits. I was wrong! So juicy! So refreshing! I feel bad for ever doubting these little guys. Anyway, they made it into my smoothie and the rest I devoured. Some clever scientist really needs to make a super sized seed so you get a satisfying amount of flesh, like, Mango sized please.

Not sure why but I’ve never considered adding pomegranate to a smoothie. Might have to change that.
