Ain’t No Party Like A H&M Halloween Party

Ain’t No Party Like A H&M Halloween Party

This time of year has always been special to me, I love all things dark and horror themed. Ever since I worked for H&M (part-time) back in the day, I knew October meant that their current line would have very special editions… Halloween garms and accessories… YAAAAASSS!

H&M – The H&M group is one of the world’s leading fashion companies – with the brands H&M and H&M Home, COS, & Other Stories, Monki, Weekday Cheap Monday and ARKET. Each with its own unique identity, all our brands are united by a passion for fashion and quality and the drive to dress customers in a sustainable way. – H&M

It’s a shame that I’d have to go to specialist stores to get my Horror clothing fix, which is one of the main reasons why I stock up on H&M Halloween collections as soon as they come out. This not only includes me, but the kids as well. I purchased three Bat themed baby onsies in different sizes when Ziggy was tiny, it was legit so cute I wanted him to have it forever. That’s the annoying thing about kids, they grow out of any of my favourite items.

For me, well, that’s not a problem, I still rock my Ribcage bodysuit and “Be Very Afraid” tee from many moons ago, but I simply can’t part with them. They’re a part of my capsule collection. If anyone asks… “Vintage H&M”.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Mothers Meeting H&M Halloween event- ‘A Fashionably Frightening Mummy Affair’. An evening of drinks, Canapés, expert panel discussions and bloominly amazing people!

There were a few familiar faces, as well as some folks that I’ve never met before, but that’s never stopped me… I will chat all day/night long.

Now, you know I’m usually the glitter queen, so even I was a bit baffled as to why I had none on (nails don’t count), but the lovely Lydia McKenna hooked me up.

The panel discussion was great, I got some amazing tips, at one point I was mind blown. The mermaid sparkltastic Emma from Ladyland explained that you should cut a hole in the bottom of your pumpkin and place your light underneath. That way you don’t get that annoying shrivelled top that falls in and ruins all of your hard work. Like I said, MIND. BLOWN.

Stylist Caroline Watston showed us H&M’s collection and mixed and matched Halloween costumes with their current collection, it all just looked fab, you know I’m all over this.

Mini Magpie Kids talked crafts, she pulled out some weird creepy ass wreath made with eyes (not real ones) and I think dolls parts (I wasn’t wearing my glasses so this is what my brain concluded). She had so many good ideas.

Pixi Woo did a sexy but subtle smokey eye on the beautiful Kat (#TheHappyHumanClub) and Bedazzled Events just knocked everything out of the ball park with her Halloween decorations.

I left feeling sad and empty that I hadn’t planned a Halloween shindig of my own… Mothers Meeting, H&M, you guys have made me question my life.

THE FUN…

This was the first Mothers Meeting event that I’ve been to, and guuuurrrrllll, it was lit! Jenny, dunno how you did all this with your cute lil baby bump and all, but, damn… Mothers Meeting & H&M, you know how to pull off a blaaady good Halloween party!

This looks like it was so much fun! I adore h&m for kids clothing, everything is so decently priced and great quality. I don’t even know how but my boo boo went for almost 2-3 years in some jogging bottoms. They just were magic and the designs they create are fabulous!

    Also, GLITTERRRRR!
