Banana, spinach and flaxseed smoothie

Banana, spinach and flaxseed smoothie

SMOOTHIES!  Raw fruit, veg and salad. 80% Raw natural foods either in their natural state or juiced blended.

I’m still loving this way of living, there are so many fruits, veg and salad combinations I have yet to try. Mainly because the things I like are seasonal, for instance, pumpkins only seem to be readily available in October, just to scoop out and put a candle in. This is completely unfair, I absolutely LOVE pumpkin soup!

Anyways, I have a busy day with the little one today, so I need something to help me keep up- energy wise I’ve been flagging. This smoothie was absolutely delicious. Admittedly it’s been a bit of a chore, I do miss my juicer. I’ve realised fruits taste better than lots of veg blended together, I’m adding seeds and nuts to get that extra energy boost. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth, then this smoothie is definitely one for you to try…

Flaxseed a a great oil as it contains omega-3 and omega6 fatty acids-(fab for skin, hair nails and general health!) HOWEVER speak to your Dr before taking it, especially if you are taking certain medications. Flaxseed oil may interact with some medications including blood thinners, cholesterol-lowering statins, and diabetes medications! x
